Make a Little Book of Memories for Mom I Creative Playshop

This creative playshop is a beautiful way to slow down, savor the good, offer yourself a little self-care, and honor your mother. We will create an artful mini-book — a soulful journal of memories that capture the love for your mother. You can come alone or with your daughter, sister or friend. Tea, water, and light treats will be provided. Limited seating, please RSVP to save your spot.

We will use poetry, music, time to reflect, time to create, and time to connect heart to heart. The creative materials for the workshop are provided along with compassionate facilitation. To personalize your mini-book, please consider some of the ideas and materials below.

What to Bring to Personalize Your Artful Mini Book? This list is for inspiration, and you do not need to bring everything on the list. Please gather a selection of the following: photos of your mom, old letters, cards, bits of nice paper, cut-up words, poems, artwork, fabrics, crochet doilies, lace, old papers, jewelry, buttons, and anything else that brings a timeless quality to this little book of memories. Make copies of original letters and artifacts, and only, bring copies for this project.

Please also bring a glue gun and sticks for the glue gun, if you have it at home. Thank you.

To participate, please offer a contribution on a sliding scale, $15-55, or register at no charge if unable to pay. Our programs are made possible with support from individual donations, and your contribution keeps our offerings affordable and accessible to all.
