In preparation for All Souls’ Day, Samhain, and Día de los Muertos, we invite you into a sacred space of remembrance and creativity. Together, we will honor those we love and remember—ancestors, family, friends, children, and cherished pets—by crafting portable altars that can travel with you, carrying memory, blessing, and beauty wherever you go.

What to bring for this project:
If you have a box you’d like to use for this project, please bring it with you (cigar box, jewelry box, etc). If you don’t have one, a hinged wooden box and art supplies will be provided.
Please bring copies of photos or images of loved ones you wish to include. (Do not bring originals, as they may be cut or altered to fit.)
Bring a personal journal (for writing and reflections)
You may also bring small mementos—souvenirs, personal items, letters, writings, fabrics, or meaningful objects—to weave into your altar decoration.

About the Facilitator
Rev. Mary Clayton-McGlauflin is an ordained Interfaith Peace Minister with a focus on Ecospirituality. She is also a Reiki Master/Teacher, certified in the Usui, Holy Fire®, Karuna®, and Mary Magdelene Reiki traditions. In the Celtic spiritual tradition of Anam Cara (Soul Friend), she provides compassionate spiritual companionship and rituals for the sacred passages of life, and through her Heart Song Reiki practice, she offers a lullaby for the Soul by combining gentle, affirming chants with Reiki to amplify the healing energy and provide a soft, safe place to land amidst the chaos of life.
